Performance
Sodium is fast... but this is faster.
On systems where drivers hold you back (older AMD cards, Intel iGPUs, and Nvidia), OpenGL can only go so far. VulkanMod fills that gap.
If your GPU is the bottleneck, Vulkan makes a noticeable difference.
Why Vulkan..?
Most optimization packs focus on improving Minecraft's OpenGL renderer. Vulkan Updated takes a different approach by replacing the renderer with Vulkan, which can reduce CPU overhead and improve frame rates on supported hardware.
Core mods:
- VulkanMod + Beryl (shader support!)
- Lithium
- ModernFix
- FerriteCore
- C2ME
- VMP
- Krypton
- ImmediatelyFast
- More Culling
- EntityCulling
- BadOptimizations
Requirements
- GPU: Vulkan 1.2 support (GTX 900+, RX 400+, Intel Arc)
- OS: Windows 10+ or Linux (kernel 5.11+)
- 4 GB RAM minimum
- 8 GB RAM recommended
Tip: Use vulkaninfo (Linux) or GPU-Z (Windows) to check support.
Limitations
Noshader support! <-- WE GOT SHADER SUPPORT!- Some rendering bugs depending on hardware
On Linux, Wayland generally performs better than X11. On Windows, up-to-date GPU drivers are recommended.
